As the Coordinator of the Business English Certificate (BEC) program, he has organized BEC Training Programs and trained students for the International Certification in Business English, offered by Cambridge University, for the past 15 years.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, He has been a Freelance HR Trainer and Youth Motivator. He has been delivering invited talks and conducting one-day programs on Mind Engineering, Personality Development, Effective Communication Skills, Life Skills Development, and Research Paper Writing for students. He has also been delivering Faculty Development Programs on “Effective Teaching and Inspired Learning” for academic leads.
He has conducted approximately 15 programs on Research Paper Writing for the academic research community across Tamilnadu. His extensive experience in professional proofreading includes hundreds of journal articles and many doctoral theses from the engineering community over the last 15 years.
It is worth noting that he coordinated the Four-Week TOEIC Training Program (Test of English for International Communication) for undergraduate students from Japan, training them at Thiagarajar College of Engineering in 2008 and 2009.
He has also served as an AICTE Inspection Committee Member, Ph.D. Viva Examiner, and Chairman of the Board of Studies for curriculum design in various engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University, Chennai
He has also delivered five video lectures, bilingual in Tamil and English, focused on Basic Grammar for Technical English. These TEQIP video lectures have been recognized as Tamil Nadu Government Official Video Lectures and distributed to all Engineering Colleges/Polytechnic Institutions across Tamil Nadu by the Commissionerate of Technical Education, Chennai. Passionate about the use of multimedia tools in English Language Teaching (ELT), he has published several papers on computer-assisted language learning. He is keen on exploring and experimenting with online resources to promote individualized learning for students. He has developed various computer-assisted learning tools for ELT and prepared course materials for spoken English practice.
He has exclusively created a blog (tiny.cc/SRBLOG) to engage techno-savvy students. His course materials, PPTs, video lectures, listening assessments, and links to valuable online resources are shared through this blog. This blog has been widely used around the world by individuals from diverse backgrounds for personalized learning, allowing for self-paced study and self-evaluation.
More than 125,000 English language learners from around the world have visited his blog to improve their English language skills and general aptitude for higher education and employment.
